Why Play The Don't?

Hey Chump, are you still playing the pass line? When are you going to wise up? Look at the dice combinations chart below.

There are five ways to make a 6 or an 8 point number.
Divide five into 36 total combinations, you get 7.2 to 1 odds
against making these numbers. 6/1 odds against making a 7.
Does that not scare you?

Look at numbers 5 and 9. There are four ways to make them.
Divide 36 by 4, you get 9 to 1 odds against you.
Getting a little worried yet?

How about the 4 and 10? There are three ways to make them.
36 divided by 3 equals 12 to 1 odds against you.

(Remember there are six ways to make a 7.)
You are feeling a little nauseated now, are you not?
If not I want some of what you are drinking!

Go into any casino, look at the craps table,
notice the house has almost all of the chips.
They are playing the don't, no matter what you hear.

If you play the don't, you can't crap out.

What is Crap Check?

Gambling, in the case of this book, is going to be limited to craps,
hence the name "Crap Check." I will not attempt to get into all the
variations of craps because you, like myself, have probably
bought every book, every tape, read everything; and talked
to all the would-be experts around the craps table.

You probably know more than you need or want to know about the game.

I am going to limit this book to playing the don't, doing the don't.
I don't believe it pays to play the pass line as I have not been
able to win any money doing so.

I think that if you play the don't that you have a chance of winning
some money. You will never get rich at it because you have only a
50/50 chance of winning even if you know everything about the game.
Therefore, the casino, having more money than you, will ultimately win.

What is Crap Check? What does doing the don't mean?
Basically it is very simple. The craps numbers are 2, 3 and 12.
If a pass line player rolls one of those numbers they lose;
conversely, if a don't player has a bet down, he or she will win.

The exception is 12 which would be a push - neither winning or losing. A pass line player rolls the dice and will ultimately get a point number, which is any other number than the craps numbers,
plus 11 and 7 of course.

A player who is doing the don't is doing exactly the opposite of the
pass line player. He will be betting on the don't pass line and the
don't come box which is shown on the layout of the craps table.

His goal is to see 7 come before the point number is rolled.
He wishes for 7 to come and cause him to win.
Remember 7 ends all games.

The don't pass line player is doing the don't, he is going to win when
7 comes up, assuming it comes up before the point number is rolled.

The pass line player will make his bet on the pass line which is
plainly printed on the table in front of him.

When the point is established he can place some odds on that number.

The don't come player places his bet on the don't pass line
and then he can lay some odds.

At the beginning of the game before the dice are even rolled pass line
players can throw in a chip, a $1.00 or more, on the horn. This is to
win in the event that a 2, 3or 12 comes up.

The horn bet is the insurance that the pass line player takes out
to avoid crapping out.

Taking insurance is done by placing the horn bet, but in Crap Check,
and playing the don't you don't have to worry about the problems
of the pass line player anymore.

The don't player has checked and covered himself against
the crap numbers hurting him.

The crap numbers, except 12, pay the don't come player.

This book is the only definitive book on
playing the don't - or doing the don't as I call it.
I have not found any book or tape devoted to just playing the don't.

Summary of Crapcheck player who has just made a good bet, and laid down some good odds;.. So what do I do now?. Just wait for the shooter to 7 out and he will, but sometimes the waiting is really tough,especially if you have got considerable money riding on your number. Let me give you something to think about and nothing else while you wait. Remember there are 36 possible combinations on the dice to make any particular number. Lets start with 7 which means there are 6 ways to make it, but 30 ways not to make it.. Better than any other number possibility. Working our way down to the 6 and 8, which have 5 ways to make them, but THIRTY ONE WAYS NOT TO MAKE THEM!!... then take the 5 and 9 which has 4 ways to make them, but THIRTY TWO WAYS NOT TO MAKE THEM, finally, we come to the 4 and 10, which have 3 ways to make them, but THIRTY THREE WAYS OUT OF THIRTY SIX NOT TO MAKE THEM !!!! Let’s take a page out of the T.V. Show Soprano’s: Imagine you had crossed these clowns, and they took you for a ride, you jump out of the car when it turns into the woods and the hood taking you for a ride has a weapon with 36 rounds in it, so you run for it, dodging from tree to tree, while he blazes away. Say you consider yourself the number 4 or 10.... he has got only 3 chance’s out of 36 to hit you!! Fat chance of it happening, and even if you think of yourself as the number 6 & 8, he has only 5 chance’s out of 36 to hit you!.. Not much chance of it happening if you keep dodging the bullet’s. When you consider that scenario, remember this, if you are playing TWO NUMBERS, that means you have TWO Hoods banging away at you and you got a 50% less chance of escaping, or at least being wounded by at least one of the Hoods, so if you really want to play it safe.. Play only ONE NUMBER at the time, and whatever you do, SKIP THE COME OUT ROLL, which is a shooting gallery aimed mostly at you, the DON’T PLAYER!... Let the shooter make a point, then go to DC box, take the first number that comes up and lay the odds down on it cause he is just about to SEVEN OUT... by the time he has the Dice this long!!... . Sometime he will hit you, but 7 out of 10 times he won’t which is my present survival rate, and that ain’t half bad!..

WELL FOLKS IT HAS COME TO PASS!. THEY ARE STOPPING THE DON’T ACTION; JUST AS I TOLD YOU THEY WOULD, IN MY BOOK, “CRAPCHECK”; AT A CERTAIN CASINO IN BILOXI, MISS. SO AVOID THAT PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! NO KIDDING!, I WENT IN THERE THIS WEEK, PLUNKED MY MONEY DOWN TO BUY IN WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING DOWN AT THE TABLE, AND WHEN I DID, I SAW THERE WAS NO DON’T PASS LINE, OR DON’T COME BOX!!. JUST A PLAIN TABLE WITH A PASS LINE AND THE OTHER REGULAR SUCKER STUFF THEY OFFER THE PASSLINE PLAYERS. NOW, NEVER LET ANYONE TELL YOU AGAIN THE HOUSE IS NOT PLAYING THE DON’T!..THEY STOPPED IT CAUSE THEY KNOW BETTER THAN ANYONE IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO WIN CONSISTENTLY AT CRAPS. KEEP YOUR EYE ON THIS SITE..
